Some Of The Campsites We've Stayed On

I've honestly lost count of the number of campsites we've stayed on over the last 25 years. Perhaps just as well or this list would be HUGE !   So these are just a few of the many.

Campingplatze Rudesheim, Rudesheim-am-Rhein, Germany ~ Probably our favourite 'Campingplatz' which we've now been using for 25 years. An ideal spot for watching KD (Koln-Dusseldorf) ships like the one below cruise by.

Bohinjsko Jezero, Slovenia ~ A real 'pitch with a view' in a beautiful spot that Marjana told us about. About 20 miles past the better known Lake Bled

Camping Nord Goebelsmuhle, Luxembourg ~ A great little spot on the bank of a small river that we stumbled on whilst searching for a different site.

Camping Costa Azzurra, Carlazzo, Italy ~ Another beautiful spot at the side of 'Lago Di Piano' but the road to get to it was diabolical.

Camping Lijak, Ozeljan, Slovenia ~ Sharing a campsite with Polish and Czech hang-gliders who launched from the hill in the background and had a landing strip on the site.

Trebon, Czech Republic ~ Another beautiful lakeside camping ground. An almost identical photo is used on the cover of the Czech campsite map.

Camping Zur Fahrturm, Schweich, Germany ~ A site we've used several times over the years. It has a good on-site restuarant.

Camping Zur Fuldaschleife, Guxhaven-Buchenwerra, Germany ~ A nice site with a great restuarant. It's on the DCC Recommended list.

Knaus Campingpark, Frickenhausen, Germany ~ Another good site.

Camping Oschlesee, Sulzberg, Bavaria, Germany ~ A friendly site which we first used about 20 years ago when we had the caravan and used a couple of times after that, unfortunately it's not geared up for motorhomes

Camping Au Chur, Chur, Switzerland ~ Quite a nice little site which nestles at the foot of the mountains

Recreatiepark Klein Strand, Jabbeke, Belgium ~ A big commercial site.

Camping De Blekker, Koksijde, Belgium ~ A small friendly campsite.

Ljubljana Resort, Jezica, Slovenia ~ A very busy site with fairly small pitches but well positioned on transport routes for sightseeing in Ljubljana.

Cressfield Caravan Park, Ecclefechan, Scotland ~ A handy stop-over for anyone heading North or South on the A74. There's also easy access to the hotel (the brown building in the backgrounf) for meals.
