The SCS, an elite unit of the Tartan Army, is trained to perform special operations in all parts of the world, often far from logistical support. When working alone behind enemy lines, self-help is the name of the game.
Thanks to the magnificent training given by survival instructor Colonel Ian R. "Despicable" Stewart, which forms the core of this site, many have lived to tell their tales and gut the enemy another day.
The Regimental motto: "Who swears wins!" is firmly imprinted in every poster's mind and most are highly skilled at obscene posting.
The SCS battle cry: "Ah'm an ANIMAL!" has struck terror into the hearts of news groupies throughout the world and occasionally causes foreign posters to threaten litigation.
Fortunately, Col. Stewart, practising as "Dr. Jenkins" to thwart identification by terrorist groups seeking revenge, is a highly skilled Barroom Brawler and Solicitor and is always available to handle any legal problems.
Many have testified to their inability to fight on when they see the SCS home address hidden in the headers. No wonder; few have survived a "Search And Destroy" SCS mission and those who do rarely risk battle again
The SCS has created a reputation for itself as a legendary fighting force, giving no quarter, torturing enemy posters if possible and always behaving like swine when on a mission.
Whether cut off in a lone French newsgroup far from home, wading through the foetid swamps of Soc.Culture Irish or trekking across the intellectual desert of Soc.Culture British, the problems of basic survival never change.
SCS posters tend to advertise their presence violently to cause maximum confusion among ill-trained troops like Soc.Culture Welsh. However, you, the recruit, may not have the natural talent for behaving like a Mongol raping his way through a convent school.
This site will pass on some of the basic tips you need to ensure that you not only walk away alive and sated, but will also train you to be "An Animal" as SCS posters proudly call themselves.
Good hunting!
